Scheme Overview

 
This scheme is designed for the chain cascading transmission scenario from the central equipment room to multiple pole-mounted sites. Leveraging CWDM/DWDM wavelength division multiplexing technology, it enables multi-site and multi-service signal transmission over a single fiber or a pair of fibers through the coordinated deployment of passive multiplexer/demultiplexer devices, optical transceivers and pole-mounted OADMs. It solves the pain points of insufficient fiber resources, complicated outdoor deployment and high expansion costs, and is applicable to scenarios such as security monitoring, campus interconnection and power communication.
 

Core Architecture and Key Products

 

Networking Architecture

 
A chain cascading (daisy-chain) topology is adopted:
 
  • A 1U rack-mounted CWDM/DWDM multiplexer/demultiplexer (MUX/DEMUX) is deployed in the central equipment room to combine and split signals from all sites.
  • The backbone optical fiber runs through the pole-mounted sites. Each site is equipped with a pole-mounted outdoor OADM device, which performs add/drop of local service signals while transparently transmitting signals of other wavelengths.
  • Service equipment at each site connects to the OADM via CWDM/DWDM optical transceivers (1.25G/10G), forming a backhaul link of "central equipment room → multiple sites → central equipment room".

  3. Isolated multi-service bearing: Supports both single-fiber and dual-fiber transmission. Different wavelengths can carry video, data, voice and other services independently without mutual interference.
  4. Easy expansion and operation & maintenance: Adding a new site only requires deploying an OADM and matching wavelength optical transceivers, with no need for rewiring. Passive devices require no routine maintenance.
